We are seeking a Shredding Specialist to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, shredding and baling machinery, and forklift operation and a proven ability to maintain safe, clean, and secure plant and vehicle readiness for daily routes.

Responsibilities:

• Unload shredded paper, media, and products from Shred-it trucks nightly at the branch.
• Reload trucks with required equipment for next-day assignments and coordinate parking for next-day readiness.
• Operate and maintain baling machinery and ensure paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment.
• Perform shredding operations for the off-site shredding program and safeguard plant hardware and equipment, including security systems.
• Operate forklifts and conduct preventative maintenance as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per Shred-it and NAID standards, including nightly cleaning of truck compartments and cabs.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment and maintain operational supplies.
• Adhere to all security and safety policies and procedures and escalate concerns to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Valid Driver’s License with a history of good driving records.
• Ability to identify major operations activities and services, interpret standard and management reports, and describe characteristics of an effective manufacturing plant.

Preferred Skills:

• 6+ months as a certified forklift driver with basic maintenance experience.
• Experience operating shredding and baling equipment in a plant environment.
