Insight Global is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support healthcare operations through computerized order entry, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and distribution of supplies, linen, and equipment. You will maintain accurate inventory levels, coordinate timely deliveries, and ensure critical supplies and equipment are available to support patient care across the health system.
Shift: Monday - Friday, First Shift
Day‐to‐Day
- Perform daily inventory, receiving, stocking, and distribution activities to support hospital and clinic operations.
- Transport and deliver supplies, equipment, and other products throughout the health system, including off-site facilities as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, manage expirations, and assist with annual inventories.
- Use SAP, Pyxis, EPIC, TIMS, and handheld technology to manage inventory and analyze supply utilization.
- Partner with clinical departments to resolve supply issues, support procedural areas, and maintain exceptional customer service.
- Assist with vendor management, invoice reconciliation, consignment inventory, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship to Level 1 associates and serve as a backup resource for leadership when needed.
- Work independently while supporting safe patient care through efficient supply chain operations across multiple locations.
Must‐Haves
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree or college coursework preferred but not required
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, inventory control, customer service, or a related operational environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting is strongly preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel between hospital campuses, clinics, and off-site facilities as needed.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience with inventory management, receiving, distribution, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency using ERP systems and other inventory management tools.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to exert 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. When loading and unloading supply carts, requires up to 100 pounds of exertional force daily. Reaching, lifting, stooping, and bending are frequent in daily routines.
