Shipping and Receiving Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our CPG client in Florham Park, NJ is looking for a shipping and receiving associate. This person will be responsible for processing shipments efficiently and accurately (and documentation). This role involves maintaining precise records, counting and packing goods, printing shipping labels and postage, and managing products across various divisions. The associate must effectively communicate with suppliers and delivery personnel, and manage techniques and technologies. Overall, they will:
•Process inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
•Maintain detailed and accurate records of all shipments and inventory.
•Manage goods for shipment, ensuring quality control
•Print shipping labels and postage, ensuring compliance with shipping standards.
•Communicate effectively with suppliers and delivery staff to resolve issues and ensure timely shipments.
•Engage in ongoing training and education to stay updated on new system management methods and technologies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations preferred
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
•Experience with shipping applications such as FedEx ShipManager, Pitney Bowes PitneyTrack, and UPS
•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners
