We're partnering with a school district in Clallam County, WA. This is an on-site, contract role for 35 hours per week, supporting a High School Life Skills classroom.   • Caseload: High School Life Skills classroom, 5-7 students, paraprofessional support

Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • Deliver functional, standards-aligned instruction focused on independence and real-world application for students in a Life Skills setting.
  • \n
  • Plan and lead skill-building lessons that support daily living routines, community readiness, and post-school transition goals.
  • \n
  • Coordinate closely with paraprofessional support to maintain structured learning routines and student engagement.
  • \n
  • Facilitate student growth in social communication and workplace-readiness behaviors through consistent practice and coaching.
  • \n
  • Track progress toward individualized goals and adjust instruction to meet student needs across the school day.
  • \n

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Active Special Education licensure/certification appropriate for assignment in Washington, as required for the role.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting students with intellectual disabilities and/or significant support needs in a secondary setting.
  • \n
  • Ability to teach functional academics and life skills (e.g., self-care routines, practical math/reading, and independence skills).
  • \n
  • Comfort supporting transition-focused instruction that prepares older students for adult life after graduation.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to collaborate with classroom support staff to deliver consistent instruction and student supports.
  • \n
