(Float Pool) Patient Care Associate/Tech - Mercy Hospital NW Arkansas

Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.\nPosition Details:\n\n

Unit: Float Pool

\n

Shift: PRN

\n

Hours: Days (6:30am - 7:00pm) Nights (6:30pm - 7:00am)

\n

PRN Expectations: (3)12hr shifts in a 6-week schedule period

Qualifications:\n

\n
• \n

  Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.

\n
• \n

  Experience: None required.

  • \n

    For PCT: In the state of practice: If no previous experience, Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the state of practice Department of Health and Senior Services requirements. The program will be completed as part of the new hire orientation process and must be completed within 90 days of hire to remain in the PCT position per state guidelines

  Preferred Experience: Healthcare, customer care, or hospitality. 

\n
• \n

  Preferred Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

\n
• \n

  Minimum Physical Requirements:

    Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

  \n
  • \n

    Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

  \n
  • \n

    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
