Surgical Physician Assistant - Community Hospital

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its growing Multi-Specialty Surgical Group. This hospital-based position offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad surgical skill set while working primarily within Urology and supporting multiple surgical specialties. Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Physician Assistant position within the Multi-Specialty Surgical Group
• Primary focus on Urology, with cross-training across additional surgical specialties
• Responsibilities include:
  • First assisting in the OR
  • Pre-operative evaluations
  • Post-operative management
  • Inpatient surgical care
• Exposure to:
  • Urology (majority of caseload)
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Endocrine Surgery
  • Breast Surgery
• Monday-Friday schedule aligned with OR coverage
• 40-hour work week
• No regular nights or weekends required
• Dedicated per diem PA team currently provides most night and weekend coverage
• Collaborative surgical team consisting of 3 full-time PAs and 4 per diem PAs

Requirements

• Licensed Physician Assistant
• Prior clinical or surgical experience required
• Looking for candidates with intermediate-level experience
• True new graduates will not be considered
• First assist experience preferred but not required
• Must be interested in learning and working across multiple surgical specialties
• Flexibility and willingness to cross-train are essential
