Position Summary:

SS Lift is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Forklift Technician to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer equipment at various job sites throughout Oklahoma. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has strong troubleshooting abilities, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in providing outstanding customer service.

This position is in Oklahoma City so relocation may be required. Travel throughout Oklahoma will be required - approximately 25%.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Repair and maintain:
  • LP, gasoline, and diesel engines
  • Electric motors
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Drive axles and differentials
  • Transmissions
  • Steering and brake systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Mast and lifting systems
• Perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Rebuild and replace major components when necessary.
• Perform field service repairs at customer locations.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and time sheets accurately and on time.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Properly secure, block, chock, and support equipment during repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle.
• Represent SS Lift professionally while interacting with customers.

Qualifications:

• Verifiable mechanical experience required.
• Forklift, heavy equipment, diesel, agricultural, automotive, or industrial equipment repair experience required.
• Strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
• Must supply your own hand tools.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
