Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab
- Adult patient population
- Procedures include diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP and temporary pacemaker placement, and PA line insertion
- Uses fluoroscopy and GE Innova IGS equipment
- Cerner EMR system used, experience preferred but not required
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Floating required in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience
- On-call required at least 15 weekdays per month (4:30 PM-7 AM) plus 48-hour call every other weekend and PRN
- Holiday coverage required on a PRN basis
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, vascular access site prep, sterile field maintenance, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience with equipment setup, maintenance, and inventory/supply stocking
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and catheterizations
- Assist with IABP and temporary pacemaker placement/removal and PA line insertion
- Maintain isolation precautions and PPE standards
- Participate in Rapid Response/Code team activities as needed
- Travelers requesting time off during designated holiday periods will not be accommodated; holiday RTO requests may be addressed directly with the manager after arrival using the RTO form
- Former staff cannot return to the same campus within 24 months but may return to another Covenant Health campus after 12 months
- Related or married travel team members cannot be assigned to the same unit
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
- Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of the start date
