Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a night shift role in a primary stroke center.
Details
- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays
- Covers X-Ray and CT for both the Emergency Department and inpatients
- Two techs staffed per shift, with some patient transport involved to and from the ED
- Radiologists staffed off-site and available for questions via Perfect Serve secure paging
- Uses Epic Radiant for radiology imaging and documentation
- Primary stroke center
- Performs CT studies including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular imaging
- Equipment includes GE and Siemens CT scanners
- May float to X-Ray as needed and to other qualified units or campuses per facility policy
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered CT and X-Ray Technologist
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- BLS certification required
- SC Radiology license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Proficiency in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Ability to start peripheral IVs preferred
- Experience with adult acute care and outpatient settings
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing CT and X-Ray imaging studies for ED and inpatient populations
- Hunter Green scrub color required
- First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
- Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training
- Floating to other units or campuses limited to areas of demonstrated competency
