Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT certification for a role requiring scrub and travel experience.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department performing special procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Rotating weekends and on-call required with a 30-minute response time
- Uses Epic charting system
- Utilizes fluoroscopy, computed tomography, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens equipment
- Performs vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, chemoembolization, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required (candidates with 1 year experience considered if neuro IR and scrub experience are present)
- ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-VI preferred
- Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Scrub experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
- Must be able to prep access sites, monitor patients, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field during procedures
- May be assigned to an emergency response team during declared emergency events, with expectations to remain onsite or serve as part of a relief team
- Orientation is held five days a week
- Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live more than 65 miles from the facility
- Candidates must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing
- Compact or LA license required at time of submission
- RTO must be disclosed and finalized prior to interview to avoid offer complications
- Former Ochsner Health permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation before returning as a travel candidate
- Lead tech experience is a plus
