Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring at least 2 years of experience (or 1 year with neuro IR and scrub experience) and ARRT-R certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures unit
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Rotating weekends and on-call required with a 30 minute response time
• Uses fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens equipment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Performs procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, RFA, TIPS, carotid stenting, and nephrostomy
• Involved in vascular access, central line care and maintenance, and PICC line care

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-VI preferred
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required (1 year accepted with neuro IR and scrub experience)
• Scrub experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Compact or LA license required upon submission
• License required if applicable
• Must maintain sterile field and be proficient in room circulator duties
• Skilled in vascular closure systems and EKG lead placement

Additional Information

• Must be willing to stay onsite or serve as part of a relief team during declared emergency events per unit manager direction
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to starting contract; Charge RNs not accepted
• Candidates must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if submitted with a pending license
• Must be separated from the facility for at least 1 full year if previously employed as permanent staff or in-house agency contractor
• All requested time off must be listed on the profile and discussed during interview
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered if scrub and specialty experience requirements are met
