Prep Cook

Mr. Clark's Barbecue & Catering is looking for dependable, hardworking Prep Cook/ Line Cook to join our growing team. We're looking for someone who works well in a fast paced kitchen, takes pride in quality and consistency, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. 

• Prepare ingredients and follow established recipes and portion standards
• Safely and confidently use knives and other commercial kitchen equipment
• Complete daily prep including chopping, slicing, portioning, weighing, mixing and assembling ingredients.
• Slive, portion and weigh smoked meats according to established standards
• Work the line during restaurant service and accurately prepare orders
• Assist with preparing food for catering orders, weddings, corporate events, and large-volume events (which sometimes may be done offsite at our catering operations kitchen)
• Package and organize food for upcoming catering events
• Follow recipes consistently to maintain food quality and control food costs
• Properly label, date, rotate and store food
• Maintain a clean and organized work-station throughout the shift
• Follow food safety, sanitation and temperature-control procedures
• Communicate with kitchen leadership and other team members during busy service periods
• Strong attention to protion sizes and consistency
• Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Willingess to learn our recipes, systems and standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 40-50 lbs.
• Catering or high-Volume food preparation experience is a plus
• Must maintain a clean, professional and positive attitude

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

• 16 years or older
• Available to work: early morning
• Available to work: late at night
• Available to work: weekends
• Willing to travel locally
