Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $22/hr. to $38/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.
What You'll Do:
- Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.
- Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
- Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
- Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
- Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
- Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
- Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of mechanical or related experience.
- Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
- Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
- Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
- Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
- Coachable and eager to learn.
