Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 weeks, with possible extension
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
Weekly Rate: $2,100–$2,600
Local Candidates: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment supporting PET and nuclear medicine imaging services. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care, radiation safety, image quality, and professional practice.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures according to established protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable procedures and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and PET/PET-CT imaging equipment.
  • Ensure accurate image acquisition and quality control.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Verify patient information and imaging orders prior to procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and report technical issues when necessary.
  • Provide compassionate and professional patient care throughout the imaging process.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • NMTCB certification required.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Recent experience with PET/PET-CT imaging preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures and radiation safety.
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Must be available to work Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM.
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
