Surgical Skills Laboratory Specialist – Orthopedic Sales

Surgical Skills Laboratory Specialist – An entry-level role supporting day-to-day operations of the Elite surgical skills laboratory in Columbia, Missouri


Essential Responsibilities


· Performs activities related to maintenance, inventory and supplies required for day-to-day lab operations

· Supports lab setup and cleanup for onsite training and demonstration events involving Elite staff and customers

· Performs tasks related to the handling and disposal of sharps and biological materials

· Handles the check in, recording, and storage of inventory for lab operations

· Performs clerical duties related to lab operations

· Assists with check-in, storage, and disposal of cadavers used in training and presentations

· Drives company vehicles to pick up and deliver arthroplasty and trauma products to reps and facilities in the field as needed


Minimum Qualifications


1) High school or GED equivalency

2) Prior experience in a healthcare, surgical, or clinical laboratory environment

3) Experience in positions requiring basic knowledge of medical terminology, safety standards, and sanitation protocols

4) Experience in prior jobs that required heightened attention to detail, accuracy, and precision

5) Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office

6) Valid driver’s license, current state minimum vehicle insurance, and reliable personal transportation

7) Prior experience driving small delivery vans or commercial trucks or towing small trailers

8) Ability to lift and pull up to 30 pounds and push up to 50 pounds


This position requires the handling and processing of human cadavers for training and demonstration purposes which may be disturbing to some individuals
