Special Education Teacher

HTF Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a high school opportunity in Highland Park, Illinois.

Position Details

• Position: Special Education Teacher
• Location: Highland Park, IL 60035
• Grade Level: High School
• Assignment Period: September 28, 2026 – January 13, 2027
• Schedule: Period 1 through Period 8
• Caseload: Approximately 15 students
• Class Setting: Primarily Co-Teaching with some instructional classes
• Certification: LBS1 preferred

Responsibilities

• Support high school students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers in co-teaching classrooms.
• Provide specialized instruction in instructional classes.
• Support and implement student IEP goals and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and provide appropriate instructional support.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student success.

Qualifications

• Special Education teaching experience preferred.
• Illinois LBS1 certification preferred.
• High school experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a co-teaching environment.
