Job Description
Job Title: Plant Decommissioning Technician (Aerial Lift)
Employment Type: Temporary / Contract — approximately 3 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience
Location: Fife, WA
About the Role
We're seeking experienced technicians to support the decommissioning of a manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on dismantling project focused on the safe removal of overhead conduit, pneumatic lines, and related infrastructure. The majority of work is performed at height from boom lifts and scissor lifts, so prior aerial lift experience is essential.
Responsibilities
- Remove electrical conduit, pneumatic lines, and associated hardware from ceilings and overhead structures
- Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas
- Use hand and power tools to disconnect, cut, and dismantle components
- Sort, stage, and haul removed materials per project requirements
- Follow all site safety protocols, including fall protection and lockout/tagout procedures
- Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the project
Requirements
- Current aerial lift certification, or documented training and hands-on experience operating boom and scissor lifts at height
- Comfortable working at heights for extended periods
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common hand and power tools
- Able to lift up to [50] lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance for the full duration of the project
Preferred
- Prior experience in industrial dismantling, demolition, or plant decommissioning
- AWP Certification
