We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support warehouse and manufacturing operations. The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials and products throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production schedules. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production according to work orders and manufacturing schedules.
- Pick and prepare materials for assembly and production teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as needed.
- Organize warehouse inventory and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and support other warehouse activities as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ years of warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
