Pay Rate: $80-90 per hour/ with salary options available

POSITION OVERVIEW

Dragonfly Cares is seeking dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to join our school-based team supporting children with autism and developmental disabilities across Nassau and Suffolk County. This role is ideal for BCBAs who want meaningful school-based work, stability, and work-life balance, with the option to pick up additional cases if desired throughout Long Island.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students with behavioral and developmental needs
  • Provide direct and consultative behavioral services to students within school settings
  • Train, coach, and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff in implementing behavior intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret student behavioral data to monitor progress and guide treatment decisions
  • Ensure treatment fidelity and provide ongoing feedback to school staff implementing behavioral interventions
  • Collaborate with special education teams, school psychologists, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute behavioral expertise to student educational planning
  • Develop individualized goals and monitor student progress toward behavioral and social skill objectives
  • Provide crisis management strategies and behavior support when necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance with school district, state, and BACB standards
  • Support the development of positive behavior support systems within classrooms and school environments
  • Supervise RBTs or behavior technicians when assigned


Requirements

  • Master's Degree in ABA or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst required
  • LBA required or in process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in a school setting being a BCBA 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (BONUS POINTS)

  • Familiarity with ABA-based therapy platforms and electronic data collection tools
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English and Spanish
