Job Description
The Position in Brief
We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to take full operational ownership of our distribution facility. In this role, you will lead daily floor operations, manage team performance, and optimize facility workflows to ensure maximum throughput, strict safety standards, and inventory integrity.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics management.
- Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP platform.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding core facility KPIs (throughput, accuracy, turn times, and safety metrics).
- Strong analytical ability to translate daily operational data into floor-level improvements.
- Clear, professional communication skills across all levels, from entry-level associates to senior management.
Who Will Excel in This Role
- Data-Grounded Operators: You manage by numbers and operational metrics rather than guesswork.
- Visible Leaders: You spend your time on the floor actively coaching teams, not behind a closed office door.
- Process Builders: You have a track record of turning disorganized workflows into repeatable, efficient operational procedures.
Key Performance Areas You Will Own
- Throughput & Accuracy: Oversee same-day dispatch commitments, order fill rates, and picking precision.
- Inventory Control: Lead cycle-counting cadences, incoming freight reconciliation, and shrinkage prevention protocols.
- Floor Operations: Direct daily receiving, staging, order assembly, and outbound shipping across all shifts.
- System Efficiency: Maintain data integrity within our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and leverage system data to eliminate process delays.
- Team Leadership & Safety: Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse supervisors and floor staff while enforcing strict OSHA compliance and workplace safety practices.
What Success Looks Like (30 - 60 - 90 Days)
- Within 30 Days: Audit current receiving, picking, and shipping workflows. Establish daily floor contact with shift leads and identify immediate bottleneck areas in dock-to-stock timelines.
- Within 60 Days: Implement targeted process adjustments to standardize order fulfillment, aiming for a 99.5%+ inventory accuracy rate across all active storage zones.
- Within 90 Days: Stabilize shift scheduling, optimize labor cost-per-order, and institute a daily operational KPI dashboard to report metrics directly to executive leadership.
