Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems within a small team environment. Reporting directly to the Shop Manager, this position focuses on ensuring optimal engine performance and reliability through precise diagnostics, repairs, and quality control. This role does not require travel and offers opportunities for career advancement to a Senior Mechanic position.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repairs and diagnostics on diesel machinery
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical systems
• Replace parts and components as necessary
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs meet standards
• Collaborate effectively within a small mechanic team
• Report repair status and issues to the Shop Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in diesel engine repair and electrical systems
• Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical aptitude and effective time management
