Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-ray Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring current ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.
Details
- Diagnostic Imaging department performing both CT and X-ray procedures
- Day shift schedule
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
- May assist with or rotate to other imaging modalities within scope of licensure/registry
- May be required to take call, work holidays, and/or weekends
- Uses PACS and RIS/HIS electronic systems
Requirements
- Current, active state license required if applicable
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Registered in at least two imaging modalities
- 2+ years of experience as a practicing Technologist preferred
- Effective communication skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to learn and work with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS
Additional Information
- Perform quality and efficient radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation
- Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards
- Provide patient education, verify patient identification through two means, and obtain informed consent when required
- Perform QC in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and operate equipment per manufacturer guidelines
- Notify Radiologist of STAT or emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact information
- Assist with clerical duties, patient transportation, and equipment troubleshooting
- May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
- Flexible scheduling required to help cover emergencies, illnesses, and vacations
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with infection control and safety policies
- Adherence to facility dress code policy required
