Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location and Type of Service:
- IN-HOME, COMMUNITY, CENTER, AND SCHOOL BASED SERVICES
- Nassau & Suffolk County
- Centers in Melville and St. James
Pay Rate: $65-90 per hour based on experience in the field
Hours:
- Monday through Friday 9am–3pm for school-based assignments,
- 3–7pm for center-based sessions
- Flexible daytime/afternoon hours for in-home and community-based visits

POSITION OVERVIEW
Dragonfly Cares is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team providing individualized speech and language services across Nassau and Suffolk County — including in-home, community, center-based (Melville and St. James), and school-based settings. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated support team and provide essential speech and language services to children in a welcoming, supportive environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct speech therapy services to children, focusing on improving communication skills
- Maintain appropriate documentation of all sessions and progress, including toward goals outlined in each student's IEP when applicable
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and school-based support teams regularly
- Bring a willingness and passion for continued growth and learning
Requirements
- Valid New York Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Clinical Fellows welcome)
- Active New York State TSSLD required for school-based assignments
- Pediatric/school-aged evaluation and treatment experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in various settings and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid licensure and reliable transportation
