Furniture Installer/Driver

Job Summary:

The Furniture Assembler warehouse associate will assemble manufactured products, deliver and install according to directions and specifications. As a driver you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and professional operation of company vehicle with all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assembles furniture according to directions.
• Interacts with customers in a friendly professional manner at all times.
• Reads assembly instructions, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Receives and posts furniture received in the warehouse.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains open communication with Furniture manager concerning assembly, scheduling, delivery, and product shortages/damages.
• Maintains all warehouse/furniture equipment and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Monitors tools, parts, and supplies; contacts Furniture or Operations manager if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks delivery vehicles for any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Keeps work area clean and organized at all times
• Delivery of prompt, high-quality assistance to members, staff, vendors, both internal and external customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
• Ability to interact with customers on site and ensure satisfaction with purchase, assembly, and delivery.
• Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and follow schematic layouts.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
