Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technician position available in Mesa, Arizona. This role involves performing specialized radiographic procedures within the interventional radiology department, ensuring quality imaging and patient safety. The incumbent will collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care based on department policies and protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program; national certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable; BLS certification; clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience.
- Additional Information: Performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures under department policies and protocols. Educates patients and families regarding procedures. Produces high quality images, maintains documentation, and demonstrates competence in invasive/interventional procedures. Performs quality control on equipment, troubleshoots, and maintains a safe environment in accordance with radiation safety policies. Ensures ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities are upheld, including confidentiality. Manages workflow, inventory, and supplies to prevent service interruptions. May direct activities of students and support staff.
