MRI Technologist
LocationSouthampton, NY
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Thursday, Friday, and Saturday | 6:30AM – 5:00PM | 30 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment and perform MRI imaging exams for patients of all ages in accordance with safety procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure sufficient diagnostic information has been obtained
- Present images to the physician to assist in diagnosis and patient management
- Perform intravenous therapy, contrast selection, and contrast injection
- Prepare and maintain written documentation as required by the department, including informed consent forms
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- ARRT registration and NYSDOH license required
- BLS certification required
- Certified to perform contrast injections
- Specialized training in MRI technology and cross-sectional anatomy
- Demonstrated proficiency performing MRI imaging across a broad range of patient populations and age groups
- Experience with intravenous therapy and contrast administration in a clinical imaging setting
