Position Summary
The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing calibration, inspection, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment, instruments, and measurement devices. The position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment performs within established specifications and complies with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with manufacturing machinery and equipment, as well as experience with calibration and measurement instruments in a regulated or high-quality manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibration of manufacturing equipment, instruments, gauges, and measurement devices.
  • Work directly with production machinery and manufacturing equipment to verify proper operation and accuracy.
  • Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, testing, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Identify equipment or instrumentation that is outside established calibration tolerances and escalate findings according to established procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or electromechanical equipment.
  • Utilize calibration and measurement tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, temperature devices, torque equipment, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
  • Document calibration activities accurately and maintain complete records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable quality requirements.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities when required.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Assist with equipment installation, qualification, validation, or process improvement activities as needed.
  • Maintain calibration tools and standards in proper operating condition.
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or Technical Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Mechanics, Electromechanics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience working with manufacturing machines and/or production equipment.
  • Experience performing calibration, equipment testing, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, or similar technical activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals, specifications, and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Computer skills and ability to document technical work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary manufacturing team.
  • Availability to work assigned shifts and overtime when required.
