Location-zipcode & Travel: Must be local to Kansas or the KC Metro. The preference is for this individual to come onsite a couple days a week, but they are very flexible with people (could even be once every 1 or 2 weeks) since the work can be performed remotely. Travel may be required once a month to visit with local entity stakeholders.

Must haves:

• 2+ years of experience in a technical role within the cybersecurity space, with experience troubleshooting issues with cybersecurity tools
• Wholistic knowledge of security pertaining to MDBR, IP ranges, endpoint detection, threat intelligence, and network security along with familiarity with a suite of cyber tools
• Experience conducting IT environment assessments in preparation for new cyber/network tools to ensure compatibility
• Ability to help educate customers on cyber related decision making and execution
• Sec + certification or higher

Day to day: This Technical Analyst will support a cybersecurity and technology program serving more than 3,600 local entities by acting as the primary operational and technical support partner to Project Managers, engineers, vendors, and local stakeholders. The role is responsible for conducting technical discovery sessions, gathering infrastructure and environment details, performing needs assessments, and documenting the technical requirements necessary to successfully deploy and support cybersecurity solutions. The Technical Analyst will evaluate hardware, software, servers, cloud environments, network configurations, device inventories, and compatibility requirements to ensure recommended tools align with each organization's technical landscape. This individual will work closely with cybersecurity vendors, managed service providers, and implementation teams to collect technical specifications, coordinate deployments, support onboarding activities, and assist with troubleshooting efforts. Responsibilities include supporting endpoint detection and response (EDR) implementations, continuous monitoring tools, cyber defense solutions, and other security technologies by gathering information such as IP ranges, device inventories, environment configurations, and connectivity requirements. The Technical Analyst will also serve as a key administrative resource by maintaining reports, tracking program metrics and financials, updating system documentation, processing program-related requests, and ensuring data accuracy across multiple platforms. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and communication. Ideal candidates will possess a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, infrastructure, cloud environments, networking, and endpoint technologies, along with a proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable implementation plans and support successful technology rollouts.
