Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility and current ARRT certification in hand.
Details
- Work in a busy cardiac cath lab with 7 procedure rooms
- Average daily census of 25-30 patients
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Setting includes both outpatient and inpatient cases
- Candidates with EP experience may be floated to the EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low
- Uses Epic for EMR charting
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Call is required, including one weekday call per week and every 5th weekend call
- During a typical 13-week contract, call includes two weekends (Friday 6pm-Monday 7am) plus one night each week
- One holiday of call may be required if the contract spans a holiday season
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a STEMI/PCI facility required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
- ARRT certification must be in hand at time of submission
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be STEMI ready
- IABP and Impella training required
- Experience with IV starts and EKGs required
- Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, and thoracentesis required
- Experience with vascular studies/procedures, angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography preferred
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) preferred
- Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing EKG lead placement and assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- May assist with IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion
- Scrubs are provided
- This unit will accept travelers based on experience, including those without prior travel assignments
- Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required as needed
