The Seasonal Guest Services Associate provides friendly, welcoming service to Garden visitors and supports admissions, memberships, ticketing, wayfinding, visitor questions, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Process admissions, memberships, tickets, and other transactions.
• Answer visitor questions and provide directions and Garden information.
• Answer the main telephone line and direct calls appropriately.
• Respond to ticketing inquiries.
• Explain membership benefits and assist with purchases and renewals.
• Operate POS, ticketing, and membership systems and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Receive and direct deliveries.
• Assist with GardenFest, special events, and busy visitation periods.
• Maintain clean, organized, welcoming guest service areas.
• Address visitor concerns and refer complex issues to a supervisor.
• Assist with accessibility needs and follow safety and emergency procedures.
• Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to learn and use POS, ticketing, membership, and calendar systems.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and detailed transactions.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and special events.
• Conversational Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for extended periods, as well as stand and walk throughout the Garden. Work may occur indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to use computers, telephones, and POS equipment and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull supplies.
