Merrill Lynch is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Credit Assistant to support credit-related administrative and operational activities within the wealth management environment.

The Credit Assistant will work closely with financial advisors, lending specialists, clients and internal teams to help coordinate credit documentation, maintain accurate account information, monitor workflow, respond to client-service requests and support the timely processing of credit-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection, organization and review of credit and lending documentation.
  • Support the preparation and processing of credit-related requests in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Maintain accurate client and account information within authorized systems.
  • Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up with appropriate internal parties when information is incomplete.
  • Coordinate with financial advisors, lending specialists, operations teams and other internal partners.
  • Respond professionally to routine client and internal inquiries and escalate matters requiring specialized assistance

  • Following established approval and escalation procedures.
  • Avoiding unauthorized disclosure of client information.
  • Escalating potential errors, discrepancies, suspicious activity or compliance concerns through appropriate internal channels.
  • Completing required training and maintaining awareness of applicable policies and procedures.
