Job Description
SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Director of Operations the Group Facilitator is responsible for providing group sessions for clients going through the process of recovery. He/she will ensure a clinical approach to understanding addiction and progress towards recovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop safe, professional and comprehensive groups to ensure clients are working towards
long term recovery.
2. Have a positive attitude and a passion to motivate and encourage others.
3. Providing and demonstrating different ways of dealing with issues regarding the client’s
chemical dependence such as identifying triggers, learning healthy coping skills, and
understanding the addiction process.
4. Monitor and instruct clients during group sessions.
5. Respond to client comments and suggestions in a timely and professional manner.
6. Complete daily treatment notes on Kipu.
7. Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
● Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
● Experience: 1 year working in addiction treatment experience preferred.
● Required Licensure: Group Facilitator has current RADT or drug and alcohol counseling certified.
