Imagine starting your week in a municipal plant fine-tuning PLC parameters after an equipment upgrade, then heading to an industrial facility to troubleshoot a process issue before training operators on best practices. If that mix of travel, technology, and customer interaction sounds like your ideal rhythm, this role is for you.

Role snapshot
  • Install and commission water treatment equipment at customer sites
  • Configure hardware/software and integrate control logic (PLC)
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs
  • Diagnose faults, test performance, and return systems to spec
  • Keep meticulous records of all field activities
  • Maintain tools and test equipment, ensuring readiness and accuracy
  • Teach customers to operate and care for their systems safely
  • Track and manage replacement parts and consumables
Must-haves
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience with solid electrical and mechanical capability
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys partnering with customers
  • Service-oriented, responsive, and dependable under time pressure
  • Comfort with extensive travel: expect overnight trips more than 75% of the time
  • Residence in Nebraska required
  • Capabilities include: electrical troubleshooting and repair; setting up welding for production; comprehensive maintenance/repair; readiness for field service demands
  • Hands-on exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Environment and safety
  • Work within chemical manufacturing plants producing alkaline mineral slurries, with limited interaction with other Hazmat and non-Hazmat products
  • Operate in ambient temperatures exceeding 100 °ree;F while wearing PPE
  • Regularly climb ladders/stairs and lift within OSHA guidelines
  • Expect outdoor exposure—radiant heat and cold are typical
  • Follow rigorous safety programs: Confined Space, Working at Heights, Management of Change, Hot Work, and required operating procedures
