Join Our Rehabilitation Team!

AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys providing patient-centered care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Position Responsibilities

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans.

  • Provide skilled speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy based on residents' needs and goals.

  • Treat communication disorders, cognitive-communication deficits, and dysphagia as appropriate.

  • Monitor residents' progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

  • Provide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers.

  • Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, nursing staff, physicians, dietary staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Participate in care planning and communicate residents' progress and needs to the appropriate team members.

  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing.

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible for applicable clinical certification requirements.

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.

  • Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
