Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Wesley Gardens Nursing Home is looking for a PER DIEM Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our seasoned professional therapists in our in house rehab department

Located at 3 Upton Park, Rochester, NY 14607

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

• Follows all regulations and guidelines of facility including compliance with confidentiality and HIPPA.

• Adheres to discussed scheduled hours and conducts self in a professional manner at all times.

• Provides documentation of patient’s condition, and provide caregiver/patient education as appropriate.

• Regularly discusses with supervising Physical Therapist patient’s progress and any concerns or guidance needed.

• Ensures safe treatment practices and monitors patient’s engagement and responses to treatment, modifies as necessary.

Requirements include:

• Valid NY professional license

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

• Preferred experience with rehab optima and skilled nursing facilities

• New graduates are welcome
