Bethany Health & Rehabilitation Center in Canton, OH is seeking a compassionate and dependable candidate to join our team as a Resident Assistant (RA).

 

As a RA in our Assisted Living community, you are essential to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our residents. You will provide hands-on assistance while encouraging independence, dignity, and quality of life. Working closely with nursing staff and fellow caregivers, you will help ensure residents receive personalized care in a warm, home-like setting. One of the most rewarding aspects of this role is knowing you make a meaningful difference in someone’s life every day.

What You'll Do

  • Provide individualized care and assistance based on each resident’s service plan.

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

  • Support residents during mealtimes, including meal setup and feeding assistance as needed.

  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure resident safety.

  • Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.

  • Engage residents in social, recreational, and daily activities to promote emotional and physical well-being.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment.

  • Support residents with respect, patience, and compassion at all times.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure exceptional resident care.

 

What You Need

  • Willingness to obtain required training/certification for a Resident Assistant (RA) role (if applicable). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
