Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced cosmetics manufacturing facility in Riverside. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing production equipment and facility systems to help ensure safe and efficient operations.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 4/10 schedule
- 10+ hour shifts
- Overtime: Mandatory
- Overtime will include either Friday or Saturday, based on operational needs
- Must be flexible to work extended hours and overtime as required
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Diagnose equipment problems and make necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Perform equipment adjustments, installations, and replacements.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, filling equipment, and other production machinery.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and production line setups.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed repairs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
- Work closely with production personnel and supervisors to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment strongly preferred.
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience required.
- Basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, and basic schematics.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work a 4/10 schedule and mandatory overtime.
- Must be available to work either Friday or Saturday for overtime as required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach as needed.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, tools, and materials as required.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and production environments.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
