Overview

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Outpatient Neuro Rehab

Fairfield, Maine | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Join our Rehab Without Walls team and help adults with neurological injuries build greater independence and return to the activities and routines that matter most.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist
  • Assist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures
  • Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
  • Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
  • Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
  • Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
  • Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
  • Current CPR certification
