Penmac Staffing is seeking a Seasonal Customer Service Clerk to support a busy property tax department. This role is ideal for candidates with strong communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Requirements for the Seasonal Customer Service Clerk

High school diploma or GED required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable assisting customers in person, by phone, and through written correspondence
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to use a calculator, copier, and other office equipment
Basic math and algebra skills
Ability to attend all required training during the first two weeks of employment
Ability to commit to working through the end of the year
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening

Seasonal Customer Service Clerk Responsibilities

Answer taxpayer questions regarding property taxes, payments, deadlines, fees, and county policies
Assist customers by phone, in person, and through written correspondence
Access and retrieve account information using computerized tax systems
Enter names, addresses, account numbers, and other information accurately
Maintain and update tax records
Process documentation and perform filing tasks
Refer complex issues to supervisors when necessary
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while assisting the public

Work Environment

This Seasonal Customer Service Clerk position is performed in a professional office setting. The role involves extensive public interaction, computer work, and customer service responsibilities. Employees spend most of the workday seated while using a computer and telephone. Some light lifting of office supplies and records up to 20 pounds may be required.
