Description
American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification and BLS/ACLS.
Details
- Cardiac Cath Lab setting supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts
- On-call required on weekdays and weekends
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred
- 1 year of experience in the specialty required, 2 years of Cardiology/Cath Lab experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required and must not expire before start date
- Registered ARRT (R, CV, or VI) or RCIS or RCES required, RCIS may be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
- Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and act as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
- Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room
- Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post procedure care
- Maintain unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures
- Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and potential safety hazards
- Radiation badge provided by the staffing agency
- Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this assignment
