Job Summary
X-ray Technologist position located in the region specified. This role involves administering roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients, operating X-ray equipment, and providing imaging services. The position requires following prescribed techniques during radiologic exams, preparing patients, and maintaining equipment and supplies to ensure quality imaging procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shifts will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid South Carolina Radiology Technician license; ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; registration with South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA); familiarity with GE X-ray equipment including main department portables and OEC (GE) C-arms in the operating room; no minimum experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mobile X-ray units and proficiency with radiologic procedures.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, operating X-ray machinery, developing and inspecting films, maintaining radiographic technique charts, and performing general office duties. The role may also involve providing educational support to staff and peers.
