Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular interventions, operates imaging equipment, and ensures patient safety and education throughout the process.
Job Details:
- Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures and assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular interventions.
- Works as a scrub assistant, maintaining sterile conditions during clinical procedures.
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors documentation of procedure images and events.
- Educates patients and families regarding procedures and pre/post procedure physical conditions.
- Maintains order and cleanliness of the unit, supports stock levels for complex interventions, and completes accurate documentation of daily activities and productivity.
- Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying potential areas for process improvement and safety hazards.
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization and adheres to service behavior standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab; Certifications including ARRT (Radiography or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography or Vascular Interventional Radiography), CCI- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCI-Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Fluoroscopy Operator Registration, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA); Fluoroscopy Certification; Radiation badge.
