Description

American Traveler is hiring a registered Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract at a remote rural hospital in Oregon, working Monday through Thursday on a day shift schedule.

Requirements

  • Current, active Oregon Occupational Therapist license (license required if applicable)
  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required
  • Valid Oregon driver's license required
  • Thorough knowledge of therapy procedures, orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills including email, document navigation, and form completion
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

  • This hospital is remotely located — the nearest major international airport is in Reno, NV, approximately 3.5–4 hours away; Medford, OR is approximately 3 hours away
  • Candidates should be fully aware of and committed to the remote nature of this location prior to applying, as nearby amenities are limited (e.g., the closest large retail store is over an hour away)
  • Responsibilities include evaluating, planning, and providing treatment per physician referral using modalities such as exercise, massage, heat, cold, light, water, electricity, and sound
  • Collaborates with patients' families and interdisciplinary health team members regarding patient abilities and treatment goals
  • Experience is preferred but not required if all other qualifications are met
