Dishwasher- HopCat - Full-time / Part-time

Mission

Keep the restaurant supplied with clean, sanitized equipment while maintaining a safe, organized dish area and supporting the cleanliness and pace of the entire kitchen.

What Success Looks Like

• Maintain a steady supply of clean, sanitized dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools throughout service.
• Operate the dish machine correctly and verify required wash, rinse, sanitizer, and temperature standards.
• Keep dirty and clean items separated and return sanitized items to the proper storage areas promptly.
• Maintain clean, dry, and unobstructed floors, drains, trash areas, and work surfaces.
• Complete assigned trash, recycling, cleaning, and kitchen-support duties without disrupting service.
• Communicate chemical shortages, equipment problems, broken items, safety hazards, and supply needs immediately.
• Complete closing duties so the dish area and assigned kitchen spaces are clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrape, sort, wash, rinse, sanitize, dry, and store restaurant wares.
• Test and monitor dish-machine and sanitizer performance as directed.
• Maintain chemical levels and follow safe chemical-handling procedures.
• Remove trash and recycling and maintain related areas.
• Clean floors, mats, drains, walls, equipment, and assigned kitchen spaces.
• Protect clean items from contamination and report damaged wares.
• Assist with basic kitchen support and cleaning assignments when needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• No previous restaurant experience is required.
• Ability to follow food-safety, sanitation, chemical, and equipment instructions.
• Dependability and willingness to work as part of a fast-paced team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and move throughout the shift.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work safely around hot water, steam, wet floors, chemicals, noise, and changing temperatures.
