Job Description
We are a busy, well established and growing Pediatric practice in Glen Burnie, MD committed to providing exceptional, family centered care to children and their families. Our team values compassion, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our practice and help us continue to serve the Glen Burnie community with excellence.
Candidate must be able to provide medical care and treatment to patients by performing physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs. Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition. Prescribes or recommends drug or other forms of treatment as needed. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred and strongly recommended. Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills required. Degree in Nursing and Registered Nurse certification required. The practice offers a competitive compensation and benefit package commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care for pediatric patients and their families
- Conduct well-child visits, sick visits, and follow-up care
- Perform and interpret basic diagnostic tests and screenings
- Educate patient and families on preventive health, growth, and development
- Collaborate with physicians and care team members to ensure continuity of care
- Accurately document in the electronic health record (EHR)
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric or Family) license in Maryland
- Medicaid forward practice - helpful if already has Medicaid cert.
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a care team
- Spanish speaking required
- Pediatric experience preferred
