QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Pay: $19.00 – $24.00/hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Type: Full-Time | Immediate Opening
Reports To: Quality Manager


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector for an immediate opening in a precision manufacturing environment. This position performs incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments, blueprint reading, GD&T, and quality inspection documentation and is ready to get to work quickly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
  • Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and quality standards.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring equipment.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues.
  • Understand and correctly apply measurement concepts including accuracy, resolution, and precision.
  • Follow established quality procedures and applicable ISO requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of quality control, inspection, calibration, or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment, including:
    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Height gages
    • Dial indicators
    • Pin gages
    • Optical comparators
  • Strong math skills, including decimals and basic trigonometry.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methods, including 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis.
  • Experience with non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
  • Experience using ERP or quality management software.
