Chemistry Laboratory Technician - (Chemist /Biochemistry)

Job Description:

·        Conduct in vitro and ex vivo microbiological tests on raw ingredients and consumer products.

·        Maintain bacterial cultures and perform bacterial assays.

·        Run biological assays including cell viability, bacterial plating, genomics, et al.    

·        Analyze lab data, perform simple stat analysis and draft reports to summarize in vitro tests.

Qualifications & Skills:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (recent graduates within the past 3-5 years preferred; Chemistry degree strongly preferred)

·        Previous laboratory experience preferred

·        Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments required

·        Ability to quickly learn new procedures

·        Strong adherence to SOPs with an emphasis on reliable and accurate data collection

·        Excellent documentation skills for consistent and precise data recording

·        Capable of performing routine tasks daily in a professional lab setting

Required Skills:

·        Bachelor Degree in Biology, Biochemistry and related majors. 

·        Skills in microbial culture (liquid and plating), microscope use, making culture medium, basic sterile technique.

·        Computer skills in using Google spreadsheet/doc/slides, data analysis

·        Ability to interact with multifunctional technical/non-technical personnel and be an effective participant in a team environment

·        Exhibit good presentation, communication and project management skills, potentially managing multiple projects with different timelines and goals.

Desired Skills:

·        Lab experience at one year and above experience.
