Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of inpatient rehab or acute care experience for a 13-week hospital assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Physical Therapy position
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 8-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend availability required (typically one weekend per month)
- Must be available to work one holiday if needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehab or acute care Physical Therapy experience required
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- PT License required (license required if applicable)
- State licensure required with active status, no pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- First Aid certification preferred
- Crisis Prevention Training (TEAM) required within 6 months of hire
- Primary Source Online Verification required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Serve as part of an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive physical therapy services
- Perform detailed clinical assessments based on individual patient needs following physician referral
- Develop comprehensive, age-appropriate plans of care based on evaluation findings
- Accurately and appropriately document patient treatment
- Must be able to respond effectively to new and changing work assignments
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
