Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in coronary and peripheral vascular procedures for an acute care hospital assignment.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with a 150-staffed-bed facility
  • Cardiac Cath Lab unit supporting coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Daily caseload of 8-12 patients
  • Procedures include coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker insertion
  • Uses Epic for charting (preferred)
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekend requirement
  • On-call requirement
  • No floating requirement within the unit, though floating between sister facilities may be expected

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab required
  • Current ARRT (R), BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit required; license required if applicable
  • RCIS certification preferred; RCIS acceptable in lieu of ARRT with 5+ years of experience
  • Candidates with a pending Fluoro permit may be considered if application has already been submitted
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Skilled in procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, equipment set up, and maintaining a sterile field
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and permanent pacemaker insertion
  • Experience with electrophysiology procedures such as AICD insertion/programming and pacemaker insertion preferred
  • Experience with peripheral vascular procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and endovascular interventions preferred
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting required

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers will be considered for this role
  • Local candidates accepted, subject to a 50-mile radius rule for local billing eligibility
  • Facility offers a 30-hour orientation
  • RTO must be requested and approved at time of submission; limited RTO is preferred to expedite offer turnaround
  • Candidates must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Cath Lab scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
  • Candidates may be asked to disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
  • Facility has received national recognition for coronary intervention care and cardiac quality outcomes
  • Located in Eureka, California, offering easy access to multiple state and national parks and coastal scenery
