Job Description
Assembly Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: $20.75–$21.75/hr
Duration: Temp to Perm
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to perform advanced assembly of complex components using a variety of hand and power tools. This role follows established quality and production standards and may assist with training employees on basic and complex assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform assembly operations according to Standard Work instructions.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Inspect assembled products to ensure quality and AQL requirements are met.
Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, and pin gauges.
Participate in Lean activities including 5S, SQDCC, Hour-by-Hour Charts, and Lean Engagement.
Identify and communicate material, equipment, or quality issues to the Team Leader.
Perform basic operator maintenance and equipment checks.
Properly segregate and dispose of scrap and recyclable materials.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Follow all PPE and safety requirements.
Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Perform standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and write English and complete required documentation.
1+ year of experience with complex assembly operations preferred.
Experience using hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
