Data Center Technician

US Citizenship required.

Job Duties:

1. Help qualify and troubleshoot new hardware models
2. Design rack elevations and run power calculations
3. Rack and wire new networking equipment and servers
4. Design process improvements for datacenter management
5. Work closely with Network Engineering, Compute, and Database teams for site maintenance
6. Inventory and documentation of datacenter equipment and spares
7. "Racking and Stacking"
8. Wiring
9. Following Designs, not writing them
10. Troubleshooting Network Hardware
11. Adjust voice and video configurations to minimize communication disruptions
12. Be able to run tape backup 

Skills:

1. Experience running neat cabling
2. Experience testing and verifying copper and fiber cabling
3. Intense attention to detail
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Experience configuring routers and switches
6. Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields
7. Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
9. Strong work ethic
10. Be able to work under pressure
